All Eyes Fixed on Blue Mountain
The size and scale of development at Blue Mountain has changed dramatically since Intrawest, one of the world’s leading developers of high-end tourism destinations, began creating a European style alpine village at Blue Mountain a few years ago.
Blue Mountain’s partnership with Intrawest has spurred real estate development with three unique accommodation hotels. The first condo-hotel project, called The Grand Georgian, sold all 131 units during its one-day launch in June 2000. Two subsequent projects also met with great success.
The Westin Trillium House became the resort’s largest and most luxurious accommodation when it opened in 2005. In 2006, construction began on Mosaic, a boutique style hotel with an unabashed focus on pleasure seeking slated for completion in late 2007. Mosaic is another step in the evolution of Blue Mountain from single-season ski town into a four-season, destination-oriented resort and conference complex.
