Travel Dynamics
“I’ve always considered the Great Lakes one of the most interesting waterways of the world,” says Travel Dynamics President George Papagapitos. “But while it offers everything from natural attractions to historic sites to vibrant cities, it’s been largely overlooked by small cruise operators.”
In 2004, Travel Dynamics added the Great Lakes to the company’s list of destinations that includes the Eastern Mediterranean, the coast of Africa, the Amazon and Antarctica.
The New York-based company, which has been transporting travelers to exotic places all over the world for close to 40 years, is unique among cruise operators because it offers small, customized voyages that are organized around one of three themes – history, culture and nature – and guided by scholars and experts.
“Our clients are modern-day explorers who are looking for the next extraordinary place and the Great Lakes has been a wonderful addition to our offerings,” says Mr. Papagapitos. Travel Dynamics will offer 12 Great Lakes sailings in 2009.
